Salary: 29304.11 - 33651.45 (Depending on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Full time permanent position

What are we looking for

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our Cardio Thoracic and Digestive Diseases team with a competitive salary range on offer up to 33651.45 depending upon experience.

This is a full time permanent position would require the post holder to work up to 37.5 hours per week.

This is a Monday-Sunday Days/Nights/Weekends role with the following shift patterns:

  • Monday to Sunday Long Days 0730-2000

  • Monday to Sunday Nights 1930-0800

  • Bank Holidays 0730-2000 & 1930-0800

The Acute Care Ward involves Interventional Cardiology Cardiothoracic surgery with some vascular aswell as cardiac/medical conditions also digestive diseases including liver and robotics and otherspecialties that require continuous monitoring and treatment. The Healthcare Assistant will primarily be involved in assisting nursing caregivers and providing directpatient care ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and always working in a manner that promotesprivacy and dignity.

Cleveland Clinic London specialize in the latest diagnostic techniques and treatments for gastrointestinal diseases. Using advanced endoscopy our specialists assess and treat cysts polyps or early-stage cancers. We also offer minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for less pain and a quicker recovery.

What will your duties include

  • Responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the directions and supervision of trained nursing caregiver

  • Developing competence in carrying out basic observations and recording results

  • Be aware of Universal Precautions basic Infection Control Procedures and Sharps Safety Procedures.

  • Participating effectively at the Quality improvements initiatives for the ward ensures that the Ward KPIs are achieved and are aligned with CCL quality standard

  • Ensuring a safe environment for patients staff and visitors following the guidelines of risk management. Proactively reporting incidents risks and/or failings taking responsibility to minimise these

What we need from you

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or a Care Certificate

  • Demonstrable clinical experience in or similar setting

  • Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field.

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Experience working in acute care such as Cardiac and Cardio Thoracic Renal and GI surgery.
