Job Description
The Lube Technician is responsible for performing basic vehicle maintenance services in a timely and efficient manner. This includes oil changes fluid checks and refills tire rotations and vehicle inspection. A Lube Tech supports the service team by identifying potential mechanical issues and ensuring customer vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
General Job Tasks & Duties:
- Perform oil and filter changes on a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Check and top off all vehicle fluids (transmission brake coolant windshield washer etc.)
- Inspect and replace air filters cabin filters and wiper blades
- Rotate inspect and inflate tires to the proper pressure
- Lubricate chassis suspension and driveline components when applicable
- Conduct multi-point inspections and report findings to the service advisor or lead technician
- Identify signs of wear leaks or mechanical issues and communicate them effectively
- Ensure all maintenance is performed according to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Properly dispose of used oil filters and other waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations
- Keep track of tools and equipment and report any damage or loss
- Occasionally assist with customer questions under supervision of service advisor
- Treat all customers and co-workers with respect and professionalism
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Basic mechanical knowledge or previous experience as a Lube Tech is preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic automotive equipment (e.g. lifts torque wrenches tire machines)
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Ability to stand bend kneel and lift for extended periods of time.
- Lifting 50 pounds without assistance.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and in varying weather conditions.
Job Type:Full Time Monday Thursday 8am 5pm Friday 8am 4pm.
Wage:$20.00/hr
