Seeking an exceptional candidate to apply technical strategy and leadership skills along with a strong acumen in manufacturing and Quality Operating Systems to a challenging role. This role will collaborate across engineering purchasing manufacturing and other teams both internal and external to Ford Motor Company. Responsibilities include the support of technical and industrialization efforts for hundreds of suppliers across all of North America with a focus on Engine and Thermal Systems. The role requires managing STA Supervisors across Mexico and United States. The ability to develop manage and leverage supplier resources for both current and advanced quality projects is critical for the now near and far development required to be successful in this space. This is a Senior Manager role which requires managing STA Supervisors across Mexico and United States.
Development of supplier and Site Engineering technical capabilities in the support of delivering both currently quality (PPM QR Warranty) as well as future quality (APQP 17 critical manufacturing processes Ford strategic initiatives) as well as people leadership (manage org resources training development decision forums assist with difficult problem resolution and identifying technical resource support
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar Technical field
5 years experience in Supplier Technical Assistance or Engineering in a leadership role
5 years experience with progressive responsibilities in technical business and leadership roles
Well developed technical acumen in STA engineering manufacturing and quality operating systems with specific focus in engine and or thermal systems
Exceptional leadership and communication skills both verbal and written
Experience with presenting complex topics and driving alignment with Senior level management
High degree of initiative independent work and confidence
Well developed negotiation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other functions and navigate complex decision making in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven to research and investigate new concepts & solve new evolving issues
Ability to manage diverse global teams
Bias towards action and pragmatic solutions
Proven record of building a network of strong working relationships
