Job Description
Engagement Specialist
We are looking for a professional customer service-oriented individual to join our Grand Rapids team as an Engagement Specialist (Teller). This position is responsible for executing financial transactions for our members including opening foundational accounts in a timely and accurate manner to promote and maintain positive member relationships. The ability to effectively build relationships with prospective and existing members is of the utmost importance as each persons financial journey is different. A successful day for an Engagement Specialist includes educating our members on credit union products and services while consistently providing an exceptional member experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a high level of service to all credit union members.
Identify members financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
Execute accurate financial transactions.
Perform day-to-day in-branch operational duties.
Cash handling.
Leverage MCCU resources to remain current with credit union policies procedures products and services
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years of experience in a customer-focused role.
Cash handling experience.
Intermediate to advanced user level experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
The ability to effectively and professionally communicate both verbally and in writing to individuals with varying degrees of financial knowledge.
Comfortable with continuous interactions with the public throughout the workday.
Experience in and comfortable with deescalating issues with upset members.
Schedule
Schedule will vary Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Wage & Hour Details
Full-time 37-40 hours per week
Pay is hourly
Starting pay range: $18-$19/hr pay commensurate with experience
