Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a GIS Specialist for an entry- to mid-level position to assist in the planning development designing evaluating implementing and analyzing of applications and data products for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Operation Program Management Unit (OPM) in Raleigh NC. This is a position created to provide technical support to field users entering data into mobile data collection applications as well as to perform data entry QA/QC and reporting support for data maintained by the HPMS GIS and Mobile Operations (HGMO) Section. This is an onsite role at NCDOT in Raleigh NC.
The GIS Specialist will be part of the larger Global Mobility Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change urbanization and digitization trends are requiring todays mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the worlds growing population. We design connected sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
Role accountabilities:
The GIS Specialist will work with the NCDOT OPM team by providing a wide range of GIS support. The scope of the work will focus on supporting mobile data collection programs that include Collector for ArcGIS Survey123 Field Maps and Quick Capture using Windows and iOS tablets. Work also includes designing and creating databases publishing data to ArcGIS Online configuring services / apps / dashboards / mobile applications testing and troubleshooting applications and developing QA/QC procedures. This position will provide support for GIS data entry QA/QC analysis and reporting related to NCDOTs enterprise linear referenced GIS data using Esri Roads & Highways Event Editor.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per salary range for this position is $57786 - $92457. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
