Step into a pivotal role as a Tooling Governance Control Manager where youll ensure the accuracy and compliance of our tooling population. This is your chance to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to our strategic objectives. Youll support the governance of citizen-built tools ensuring compliance and efficiency in our processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our Corporate & Investment Banking divisions strategic goals.


As a Tooling Governance Control Manager in the Control Management team you will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering governance framework requirements for citizen-built tools. This role empowers you to drive compliance with established controls and standards manage risk and provide oversight across the tooling population. You will collaborate at all levels of the organization to enhance governance practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess develop and maintain the governance framework for tooling ensuring alignment with organizational standards and policies.
  • Coordinate with Control Managers and other business leads to support governance compliance and improvement.
  • Conduct inventory assessments to ensure appropriate controls for tooling.
  • Monitor and mitigate risks associated with tooling ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Partner with audit for compliance reviews.
  • Assess key metrics to identify trends and potential compliance improvement opportunities.
  • Manage the annual confirmation process for Senior Control Manager sign-off.
  • Continuously review and assess governance practices introducing process and systemic improvements.
  • Collaborate with firmwide partners to influence governance model improvements and enhance user experience.
  • Identify and manage escalation of compliance issues related to tooling communicating with key stakeholders
  • Lead and contribute to continuous stakeholder engagement with Control Managers Program Leads and other key stakeholders

Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in change management governance frameworks risk management principles and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in challenging existing models and driving process and systemic changes at scale.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in assessing risk prioritizing work and managing ambiguity.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and governance tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build coalitions.
  • Change management and experience in process analysis design improvements and implementation.
  • Ability to understand end-to-end processes and introduce an effective control model.
