Job Description

BURNCO is currently looking for a Plant Helper (General Labourers) within the Edmonton region. This is full-time seasonal position. You should have the ability to safely work with and around heavy equipment as well as the physical capacity to perform manual labour for extended periods. Flexibility to work overtime and shift work is also required.

What You Will Be Doing
- Unloading asphalt cement from trucks to proper storage tanks and completing associated paperwork.
- Working with Quality Control to ensure materials are being produced to required specifications.
- Monitoring and maintaining plant equipment.
- Shoveling and use of hand tools.
- Assisting with loading trucks answering phones and other plant duties as required.
- Following and promoting BURNCOs safety program ensuring all policies are followed.
- Learning other duties and positions as assigned.
What We Would Like from You
- Able to work shift work at both asphalt plants as required.
- Crusher experience is an asset.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Able to identify analyze and solve problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Asphalt plant maintenance experience preferred.
IMPORTANT:As a safety sensitive position it is a condition of employment that selected candidate successfully pass comprehensive pre-employment testing that includes a Drug and Alcohol screen and Fitness to Work testing. Please note that we have a zero-tolerance policy for any Cannabis derived products regardless of use frequency or purpose.
