Leadership
- Manages operation of both gift shops including but not limited to:
- proper cash handling counting cash drawer access and deposit process according to hospital policies and procedures.
- Inventory procurement pricing and maintenance including but not limited to:
- Attending seasonal Market to review and purchase inventory
- Set up and work with vendors of the gift shop
- Hiring training scheduling and timecard management corrective action(if needed) of all employees and volunteers
- Ensure staffing is available to provide service in accordance with the established hours of operation of the Gift Shop.
- Serves as a role model for customer service for retail sales teams. Promptly and courteously greets and assists all customers in an effort to promote a positive hospital image and provide high quality premier services to hospital guests and employees.

Program Management and Daily Operations
- Plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the hospital gift shop retail gift sales located within OLL Hospital and OLLCH .
- Determines sales goals and buying plan for gift shop operations and other retails operations as needed. Serves as primary buyer for gift shop and other retail operations as needed.
- Creates and maintains an accurate inventory system to assure items are priced accurately. Assures process for timely receipt and verification of all goods received. Confirms and processes invoices for timely payment. Conducts an annual inventory or as directed by accounting and/or Internal Audit.
- Develops required reports and maintains accurate records for use in evaluating departmental performance. Identifies ways of improving current services and consults with supervisors on employee and operational issues and problems.

Performance Improvement and Quality
- Determines and implements display schedule including special promotions. Maintains adequate amounts of merchandise on display in order to promote the provision of high-quality customer service.
- Cultivates a positive relationship with all volunteers who offer their time in the retail areas of the hospital.
- Observes and adheres to all departmental and hospital policies and procedures and follows all safety quality assurance and infection control standards.
- Observes and adheres to quality standards established by the department. Participates in continuous quality improvement programs in order to foster the provision of quality health care services by the department and hospital and ensures that all services are provided with compassion understanding and respect for others.

Other Duties as Assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
- Travel to Market multiple times a year to buy merchandise for gift shop.
QualificationsMinimum of 4 years of experience in Retail/Merchandising
Bachelors Degree required
