Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Child Nutrition Warehouse Delivery / Milk Truck Driver / Delivery Driver

REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Director

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: A full contract for this position is 200 days with benefits as specified in the employee contract. Contract will be prorated based on the actual start date.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Warehouse experience preferred.
  • CDL license required.
  • Must be physically able to lift weights of up to 50 lbs. on a regular daily basis.
  • Ability to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in hot and cold outdoor environments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform loading and unloading of deliveries milk produce frozen and dry shipments to all schools.
  • Must be able to work early morning shifts. Milk shift starts by 4AM and others by 6AM.
  • Help maintain inventory files/data inventory entries.
  • Help maintain and organize the warehouse to conform to health department regulations.
  • Possess a current Commercial Drivers License.
  • Maintain current CDL certification.
  • Maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Ability to endure prolonged standing walking sitting kneeling occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders bending squatting.
  • Participate in professional conferences in-service sessions etc. to keep abreast of current practices.
  • Operate the programs in accordance with Federal and State Department guidelines and local Board of Education regulations and policies.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive professional working relationships with others
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance
  • All other duties as assigned.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to endure prolonged standing walking sitting kneeling occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders bending squatting.
