Who are we looking for
Were looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings Services team in WA.
This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our global team of experts within a large and well-established international consultancy giving you the opportunity to leverage your skills across a balance of technical work project management and client relationships.
Our approach to designing and delivering buildings and facilities rests upon the integration of allied disciplines in a diverse portfolio of market sectors with an emphasis on Commercial Industrial Transport and Defence facilities in WA. This creates a multi-disciplinary environment offering the chance to broaden your experience and propel your career forward through various pathways.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Perform general electrical engineering tasks (design calculations data analysis using software to undertake engineering design).
- Prepare and write technical reports.
- Undertake field testing or site-based investigations compile data and assist with analysis and evaluation.
- Coordinate site or field technical activities field testing or investigations including analytical set up and managing subcontractors.
- Consult with design stakeholders to further best-for-project outcomes. Explain technical information to stakeholders.
- Act as Project Manager for routine projects responsible for project documentation (scope of work etc.) and managing client interactions.
- Supervise the daily activities of a project or design team including allocating and checking work and providing feedback on performance.
- Prepare proposals and pricing information for routine projects as required.
- Support and coach less experienced members of the team.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related field and eligible for / has Chartered Status with Engineers Australia.
- Applies broad knowledge of a professional discipline or advanced knowledge of technical practices demonstrated in a relevant industry or consulting business.
- Strong knowledge and application of Engineering principles and high aptitude for planning and design.
- Good understanding of applicable standards and guidelines.
- Strong technical writing data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- The capacity to work with a diverse range of clients and projects.
- A valid drivers license.
- Eligible for Defence Security Clearance.
- Sound knowledge of Autodesk Revit BIM PowerCad AGi32 DIALux Microsoft Office Suite Australian Standards NCC.
