Labadie Auto Company operates two dealerships in Bay City Michigan providing Cadillac Buick GMC and Toyota to the Great Lakes Bay Region. Job Summary: The Detailer will clean vehicles according to company standards or client specifications which may include performing detail inspections thoroughly washing buffing and waxing exteriors vacuuming steaming and deodorizing interiors and keeping records related to gas levels and the condition of the vehicle. You should possess strong customer service skills and be familiar with the tools and agents used to clean and maintain vehicles.
Pay: $13.00-15.00 an hour; Based on experience.
Schedule: Core hours Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm; Includes one rotating set late night a week 12pm-8pm and two rotating Saturdays a month 8am-3pm.
- Full-time 40 hours a week.

Essential Job Duties:
- Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles.
- Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars using cleaning solution water cloths and brushes.
- Applies wax to auto body and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine using cloth or buffing machine.
- Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris using vacuum cleaner.
- Cleans upholstery rugs and other surfaces using cleaning agents applicators and cleaning devices.
- Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces treats fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
- Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
- Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures utilizing experience and following recommendations of product manufacturer.
- Paints engine components and related parts using spray gun or aerosol can and masking material.
- Applies paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicle using container of touchup paint.
- Applies dyes and reconditioning chemical to vinyl tops of vehicle to restore color and condition.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- One year of automotive/detailer experience preferred but not required.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Pass a motor vehicle report and drug screen.
