Job Description

Lead the Consumer Accounting Refund Processing Team. Ensure the team processes transactions timely to meet state and internal guidelines. Oversee refund negative balance and unclaimed property processes and reconciliations.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor refund negative balance and suspense processes to ensure transactions are processed timely.


Monitor unclaimed property due diligence letter process to ensure letters and check reissues are processed timely according to state guidelines.


Use problem solving skills to resolve issues escalated by team members.


Provide process improvement guidance for all processes and procedures.


Monitor department email inboxes to ensure responses are being sent timely.


Work with the team manager to help set team goals.


Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Associates FIELD OF STUDY: Accounting or Finance

EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years in an Accounting role

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Strong process improvement and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced data intensive environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team in and out of the department.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelors FIELD OF STUDY: Accounting or Finance

EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years in a lead or supervisory role

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

  • Knowledge of state unclaimed property filing process
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Workday Financials a plus

Starting Compensation

Annual Salary: $68640.00 - $75799.00 (Amount based on office location relevant experience skills and competencies)
