Video Security Monitor
Salary is based on District Salary Schedule posted on website. Position begins with 2025-2026 school year. Length of Contract is 178 Days.
Requirements: Minimum of 60 College Hours or Passing Score on the Paraprofessional Assessment.
Background check and child maltreatment check required by law.
Citizenship residency or work VISA in United States.
The Video Security Monitor plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of students staff and school property. This position is responsible for monitoring live and recorded video surveillance feeds granting electronic access to the building and reporting any suspicious activity or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor live surveillance footage to identify and respond to unusual or suspicious activity.
Control and manage access to the main building by allowing authorized students and staff to enter through electronic access doors.
Maintain accurate and timely records of incidents and security concerns.
Notify school administration or law enforcement immediately in the event of a safety threat or emergency.
Collaborate with school staff and administration to ensure a safe environment.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
60 college credit hours OR a passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment.
Must pass a criminal background check and child maltreatment registry check as required by law.
Must be a U.S. citizen legal resident or have a valid work VISA.
Strong observational and communication skills.
Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
Familiarity with or willingness to learn video surveillance software and electronic access systems.
Indoor position with extended periods of sitting and monitoring screens.
May require responding to security issues throughout the building as needed.
Regular interaction with students staff and potentially law enforcement.
Full-Time
