Job Description
UAF Utilities is hiring a team-oriented Powerplant CT2 Maintenance Mechanic with a minimum oftwo years experience with boilers preferably coal; high and low pressure steam; pumps; turbines; compressors; chillers; motors. Applicant should be able to collaborate with other departments to accomplish Maintenance projects.

UAF Utilities manages the Universitys Steam and electrical infrastructure. We work closely with our Maintenance and Operations groups. Supporting these groups is key to our success and the ability to organize and plan your work schedule considering the operational needs of the facility and the other trades. Ability to communicate between the trades people and supervision to ensure smooth and continuous safe operation of the Power plant and associated Auxiliary equipment for all of our campus needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Journeyman level or equivalent certification in a specialized field including but not limited to carpentry plumbing or electrical; or a minimum of ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
High School Diploma / GED
Basic Math and English Skills
Current Alaska Drivers License or ability to obtain upon hire and a clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.

Process Technology Degree / Training
Position Details:
This is a full-time non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary andfull employee benefits package.
