Summary/Objective:
The IAM Specialist will be responsible for the design implementation and maintenance of our organizations identity and access management systems. This role ensures that only authorized individuals have appropriate access to our critical systems and data safeguarding our digital assets and maintaining compliance. The IAM Specialist will collaborate with various teams to implement and enforce security policies and best practices.
Pay Range: $150000 - $165000
Responsibilities:
- IAM System Administration:
- Administer and maintain IAM systems including user provisioning de-provisioning and access control.
- Configure and manage identity directories authentication protocols (e.g. SAML OAuth) and authorization frameworks (e.g. RBAC).
- Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related issues.
- Access Control and Policy Management:
- Develop and implement access control policies and procedures.
- Perform regular access reviews and audits.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR HIPAA PCI DSS).
- Identity Lifecycle Management:
- Manage the complete identity lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Automate user provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
- Develop and implement SCIM JIT and custom integrations to SaaS PaaS and Cloud Environments.
- Implement and maintain identity governance processes.
- Authentication and Authorization:
- Implement and manage multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.
- Configure and maintain single sign-on (SSO) integrations.
- Implement and manage privileged access management (PAM) solutions.
- Security and Compliance:
- Monitor IAM systems for security vulnerabilities and anomalies.
- Conduct security assessments and risk analyses.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IAM processes and procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with IT security and business teams to implement IAM solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
- Communicate IAM best practices and policies to the organization.
- Reporting and Auditing:
- Generate reports on user access and activity.
- Support internal and external audits related to IAM.
- Maintain audit logs and records.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in IAM administration and implementation.
- Strong understanding of IAM principles and best practices.
- Experience with IAM tools and technologies (e.g. Okta Entra ID Intune AD SailPoint CyberArk).
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (SAML OAuth LDAP).
- Experience with role-based access control (RBAC).
- Familiarity with security compliance standards (e.g. GDPR HIPAA PCI DSS).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions.
- Experience scripting and automating IAM processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications1 (e.g. CISSP CISM CompTIA Security).
