Job Description
- Location: Temple TX 76502
- Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM 07:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Perform and direct respiratory care services including oxygen and aerosol therapy.
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation during emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to plan and implement patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies including those related to infection control HIPAA and safety.
- Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with peers patients and families.
- Maintain and improve clinical and technical skills through ongoing development.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance patient care and clinical processes.
- Document care accurately in electronic medical records.
- Proficient in respiratory care modalities therapies and equipment.
- Ability to follow protocols and flowcharts.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Competent in electronic documentation and basic computer operations (data entry scanning secure email).
Education:
- Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent (or 2 years of related work experience above minimum qualifications).
Experience:
- Less than 1 year of direct Respiratory Therapist experience required (new grads welcome).
Certifications/Licenses:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)-Must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner)-Licensed in the State of Texas.
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
