Job Description:
The Hospital Social Worker applies a holistic patient-centered approach to provide medical social services to individuals of all ages from prenatal to elderly. The goal is to assist patients and their families in resolving physical emotional social or environmental challenges that hinder optimal health. Responsibilities include discharge planning psychosocial assessments crisis intervention and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution

At least 1 year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
-
Licensed at the Masters level (LMSW) in Alaska or license-eligible
-
Valid Alaska State drivers license
-
Basic computer proficiency
-
Strong communication skills; able to present information to individuals and groups

Competent in basic math skills for assessment and documentation
-
Preferably experienced in cross-cultural healthcare; bilingual English/Yupik highly value

Annual Salary Range: $71489.60 $92936.48

Facility Fee: 17%
