Job Description
Sacramento CA Full-Time Academic Administration
We re looking for an experienced nurse leader who s passionate about education and ready to shape the next generation of licensed vocational nurses. In this full-time on-site role you ll lead all aspects of program development faculty management and clinical partnerships while ensuring compliance with BVNPT and institutional standards.
What You ll Be Doing
Oversee daily operations of the Vocational Nursing program: curriculum planning scheduling faculty assignment and student support.
Serve as liaison to state boards and prepare program materials for reports site visits and accreditation reviews.
Evaluate and maintain clinical site partnerships ensuring alignment with course objectives and student safety.
Lead faculty hiring onboarding meeting facilitation and performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with BVNPT regulations including timely faculty reporting and clinical contract oversight.
Collaborate with institutional leadership on special projects resource development and strategic planning.
Support students throughout their journey from orientation to graduation and exam readiness.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state regulations and vocational nursing best practices.
Requirements
Active RN license in the state of California.
BSN or higher from an accredited institution.
At least 3 years of recent RN experience (required).
Completion of coursework in administration teaching and curriculum development.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and accreditation processes for VN programs.
Bonus Points If You Have:
1 3 years in a nursing instructor or faculty leadership role.
Experience managing teams clinical operations or academic programs.
A student-centered approach and a passion for education access.

What You ll Bring Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with: An associate degree (in any field) and at least 6 years of recent bedside experience, OR A bachelor's degree (in any field) and at least 3 years of recent bedside experience OR Registered Nurse (RN) with: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and at least 3 years of recent direct patient care experience What Helps You Stand Out Prior teaching or clinical instruction experience Familiarity with BVNPT standards and vocational nursing program expectations Strong communication and mentoring skills A collaborative, student-centered mindset
