Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As the AP/AR Supervisor youll support the Financial Business Services team by leading both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members to ensure accurate processing of invoices and timely cash application. Youll interact with internal teams external partners and use your keen attention to detail to support financial operations.

Location: Hybrid in Deerfield IL (will require on-site Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shared Accounts Payable / Receivable

  • Supervise AP/AR coordinators including but not limited to:
    • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the AP/AR coordinators
    • Foster a collaborative team environment while driving process improvements efficiency and accountability across both the BPO and FBIN teams
    • Manage actual results against established expectations and goals and take corrective actions when results do not align with expectations
    • Time and attendance approval  
  • Champion continuous improvement and implement process changes to make the department more lean and efficient
  • Act as a primary liaison and an escalation point between the outsourced BPO and internal / external stakeholders
  • Responsible for administration of and adherence to FBIN escheatment polices and procedures
  • Assist or backup the AP/AR coordinators when needed

Accounts Payable

  • Approve daily payment disbursements in various banking platforms
  • Investigate payment failures and monitor bank account activities
  • Perform vendor maintenance setup reviews to ensure compliance with policy
  • Support the administration of purchase and travel and expense (T&E) cards
  • Responsible for annual 1099 filings

Accounts Receivable

  • Assist the AR Director in implementing and ensuring adherence to credit strategies policies and procedures
  • Perform customer maintenance setup reviews to ensure compliance with policy

Qualifications :

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required
  • Detailed understanding of order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Prior SAP or Oracle experience
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Must work well in a team atmosphere.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree in an applicable business or communications field

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $56000 USD - $84700 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location.
