Job Description
We are seeking for an experienced Electrical Engineer V to join our Electrical Engineering team in Bogota Colombia. This role will be pivotal in designing electrical circuits systems and equipment with a particular focus on power systems electric service and supply systems and lighting systems.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Electrical Installations Design: Designing planning and coordinating electrical
- systems for various types of infrastructure.
- Electrical Calculations: Perform detailed electrical calculations for installations
- such as power distribution lighting emergency power systems and electrical
- studies.
- Specialized Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth technical input for studies
- designs and technical assessments within the electrical engineering field.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary project reviews to
- ensure cohesive and fully integrated designs.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control reviews of electrical designs calculations
- and drawings to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability.
- Technical Specifications: Prepare and manage technical specification sections
- related to electrical systems ensuring they meet project requirements. Budget and
- Schedule Management: Assist in the preparation of engineering budgets and
- schedules to align with project goal
- Lead designs calculations sketches diagrams schematic drawings construction
- specifications and final working drawings.
- Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staffs specific area of expertise.
- Approves and signs off on work.
- Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
- Participates in development of technical proposals.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
- Lead a team of Modelers and Electrical Engineers.
- Guarantee the quality of the deliveries of the electrical team area.
- Manages the relation and communications with the client.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering 8 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience in developing Medium Voltage and High Voltage drawings quantities list specifications and reports in accordance with project requirements and industry standards (IEC/IEEE/ANSI).
- Experience in Medium Voltage and Low Voltage systems power utilities systems
- Experience performing early project design work such as conceptual studies electrical loads equipment sizing and selection datasheets and general arrangements.
- Proficiency with at least one engineering software.
- Knowledge of local and international American and European regulations.
- Intermediate/ Advanced command of English both written and spoken.
Additional Information :
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering 10 years of experience.
- Experience with Revit to create 3D BIM models of electrical systems adhering to all Levels of Development (LOD).
- Experience working with Common Data Environment platforms (e.g. BIM 360 ACC).
- Must be resourceful highly organized professional with attention to detail and people.
- Familiarity with clash detection software. (Naviswork)
- Experience with renewable energy
- Experience in projects such as water treatment facilities industrial installations transportation buildings and utilities.
