Job Description
Our client an Am Law 100 firm is seeking an Associate with at least three years of experience in patent litigation and a background in technology or life sciences. 3rd to 6th year law school graduates ONLY.
This role involves hands-on litigation work including the preparation and trial of patent cases Markman hearings technical product and patent analysis discovery management expert coordination depositions and drafting of pleadings and motions. Experience in district court and/or before the International Trade Commission (ITC) is preferred.
The firm fosters a collaborative culture and this position requires being on-site approximately 60% of the time in line with firm guidelines.
Qualifications:
- J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to practice in California Massachusetts New York or Washington D.C.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent litigation
- Technical background in electrical engineering computer science or a related field; OR
- Life sciences background in biology immunology biochemistry or a related field
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in team settings and maintain professionalism with clients
