Position Summary:
The main task of the Facilities Technician is to ensure that a building remains functional clean and in good repair. Inspect maintain or facilitate repair utilizing outside sources. This includes electrical plumbing HVAC systems compressors emergency generator painting roof repairs locksmithing security system landscaping fire extinguishers elevators and facility cleaning.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with outside contractors to perform preventive maintenance and/or repair of facility systems
- Will perform or facilitate equipment maintenance and repairs of equipment not covered by outside service contracts
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment to diagnose next steps to bring back equipment back online
- Will make repairs of facility walls ceilings doors bathroom plumbing due to wear and tear
- Will be point of contact for landscaping pest control and facility cleaning services
- Maintain records of calibration and maintenance activities
- Replace light bulbs
- Clean internal windows
- Caretaker of security system activate or deactivate door access key fobs or card keys
- Responsible for making sure facilities are secure at the end of the business day
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of similar work experience
- Minimum of high school education with computer skills
- Demonstrated experience with equipment/facility maintenance and repair and ability to work with contractors
- Excellent communication and customer service
