We are currently seeking a Project Accountant for our TorontoStudio.
Job Summary
This Project Accountant supports project financialoperations including billing accounts receivable and payable and timesheetverification. This role ensures accurate data entry financial compliance andtimely communication with internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Project Financial Support
- Review staff timesheets for coding accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Process daily cash receipts and prepare bank deposits.
- Conduct A/R follow-up and support invoice adjustments and client requests.
- Manage vendor invoices and full A/P cycle including approvals and data entry.
- Maintain orderly financial records and filing systems.
- Ensure all work aligns with the firms Project Delivery standards including proper use of filing systems adherence to architectural procedures and compliance with drawing and documentation protocols.
Cross-Functional Coordinator
- Reconcile financial documents and support preparation of reports.
- Assist in accounting system maintenance and data accuracy.
- Provide backup support in financial accounting areas as needed.
- Support a collaborative in-office environment through effective team engagement.
- Able to work in a collaborative in-office environment (100% in-office presence required to support direct team engagement and effective cross-functional coordination).
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting.
- 510 years of project accounting experience; A/E or professional services background preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Deltek Ajera Vantagepoint preferred).
- Strong financial analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
