As a Boilermaker youll work alongside a supportive crew of experienced professionals contributing to the maintenance and improvement of large-scale industrial plant and equipment. From high-integrity welds on pressure systems to working on major outages this is your chance to take on meaningful technical work that helps power Australia - and grow your career in the process.
What Youll Do
- Preventative Maintenance: Youll inspect and maintain our large and complex plant to ensure these vital systems run smoothly and efficiently
- Upgrades and Installations: Youll enhance and improve existing boilers and equipment aiming to ensure a seamless and efficient power supply while driving innovation and performance
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Youll diagnose and resolve performance issues and mechanical failures ensuring repairs are done efficiently to minimise downtime
- Technical Guidance: Youll guide and mentor apprentices and other team members while also collaborating with and monitoring contractor workers to ensure quality and efficiency when required
- Process Improvements: Youll assess current maintenance practices and propose strategies to boost efficiency and drive better performance
- Safety and Compliance: Youll prioritise safety in every task rigorously adhering to company standards and legal requirements to ensure the safest possible work environment
What Youll Bring
- You are a qualified Boilermaker and have had the opportunity to hone your skills in real-world settings since completing your apprenticeship and obtaining your trade certificate
- You bring expertise in welding with pressure welding experience and/or relevant qualifications (e.g. AS 1796 Cert 7) considered highly desirable
- You bring in-depth knowledge of modern power stations or other heavy industry and have an interest in working with large process plant
- Youre an analytical problem-solver who prides yourself on precision quality and attention to detail
- You are equally effective working collaboratively with others or handling tasks independently
- You thrive in high-pressure environments consistently delivering safe high-quality work on time
- Youre a team player who values mentoring and supporting others to succeed
- You enjoy building relationships across all levels and have outstanding communication skills
- You are dedicated to both process and personal safety ensuring that all activities meet the highest standards and compliance requirements
