Job Description

The Alaska Satellite Facility (ASF) is committed to making remote sensing data accessible and were seeking a detail-attentive administrative assistant to help achieve our mission in a fast-paced environment. To thrive in this role the successful candidate must have intermediate computer skills that include Microsoft Office Google Suites and Zoom. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are important for interacting and corresponding with staff other UAF departments vendors and guests. An advanced knowledge of general office skills such as answering inquiries managing schedules and maintaining various databases; and the ability to multitask while working independently and as part of a team. Also the candidate will help plan and execute events while ensuring smooth logistics and resolving any issues that may arise. Experience in making travel arrangements and purchasing is a plus. Minimum Qualifications:

High School graduation and two years office/administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position will be physically located at the UAF campus in Fairbanks Alaska. The successful finalist will be expected to report to duty at the UAF office on the first day of employment. This position is full-time Grade 76 term-funded non-exempt 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options annual leave 12 paid holidays per year tuition waivers for employees and family members and affordable medical dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule based on education and experience.
