Job Description

The Law Offices of Bradford & Barthel LLP is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable legal secretary who is highly organized detail -oriented professional reliable and able to efficiently multi-task. EAMS experience is preferred.


Job Summary:

Responsible for providing clerical support to attorneys.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and files legal documents and correspondence.
  • Electronically files legal documents in EAMS Workers Compensation program.
  • File and serves legal documents.
  • Schedules medical appointments depositions interpreters court reporters and witnesses.
  • Maintains diary system.
  • Takes incoming calls for attorney and assists client were needed.
  • Ensure proper indexing and filing of legal documents.
  • Works closely with attorneys and legal staff to complete clerical assignments.

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Database software and Word Processing software.
