Were looking for a passionate and curious Laboratory Manager to join our team. What Youll Do:
Ensure that all areas of a complex high throughput sample management operation run safely on schedule and with the highest level of quality.
Supervise and train staff at the SM Lab Technician Operator and Associate Scientist levels in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Maintain advanced knowledge of Titian Mosaic as it pertains to Evotec Sample Management Operations.
Interact with customers on technical and operational issues as required.
Interact with management at all levels.
Build and maintain a schedule for complex high throughput sample management operations.
Collaborate with the Automation Engineering function to support Operations and the needs of client workflows.
Perform data handling inventory tracking accurate record keeping shipping processes and following Merck Standard Operating Procedures for assigned tasks
Collaborate with internal and external clients to support lab workflows in a cross-functional team environment
Who You Are:
Must have a demonstrated record of achievement with sample management operations.
Strong supervisory skills and experience managing technical and operations staff.
Experience with Titian Mosaic including development testing is a significant advantage.
Collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to create and analyze spreadsheets to evaluate data and make recommendations.
Ability to handle multiple deadlines and associated pressures.
Advanced capability with Excel and other software suites.
BS or equivalent with scientific discipline and 6 or more years of experience
Laboratory experience: pharmaceutical/biotechnology preferred
Operation of an analytical balance and use of liquid handling instruments such as Tecan and Biomek
Experience in liquid handling desirable

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $ 66500 to $95000; Base salary offered may vary depending on the individuals skills experience and competitive market value. Additional total rewards include discretionary annual bonus comprehensive benefits to include Medical Dental and Vision short-term and long-term disability company paid basic life insurance 401k company match flexible work generous paid time off and paid holiday wellness and transportation benefits.
