Are you passionate about ensuring young people have access to a youth provision in their area Birmingham City Council is seeking a dedicated Youth Service Manager (YSM) to join Birmingham Youth ServiceChildren and Families Directorate. In this pivotal role you will support the delivery of youth provision from the youth centres and in the locality. If you are a proactive leader with a commitment to delivering positive outcomes for young people we want to hear from you!
As the YS Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of youth provision in the locality through a team of workers. You will lead on the development of local partnerships.
Your role will involve ensuring the implementation of systems across the youth centres and the delivery of high quality youth work to our young people.
In this role you will work collaboratively with the Youth Service Managers as well as stakeholders to promote creative partnerships and improve outcomes for young people. You will lead the planning and performance management across the area delivery team and inspire and motivate the best provision to young people.
The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level in Youth work with a JNC qualification They will have significant experience in managing and leading staff in youth work delivery. You should have a strong understanding of relevant policies practices and national frameworks along with excellent organisational communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure is essential.
