This individual is responsible for providing R&D Engineering Leadership for the Kimberly-Clark North America Personal Care businesses to support new product innovation and renovation expansion and optimization. Responsibilities include leading Engineering Feasibility Studies coordinating work across a broad range of team members developing and executing a capital equipment learning plan and managing success criteria and risk mitigation for assigned projects to ensure a successful transition to the capital execution team.

In this role you will:

  • Lead engineering development through First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) for projects that vary in scope and cost from less than $1MM to over $10MM in support of new product innovation renovation expansion and optimization
  • Know and follow Project Management Practices and manage all projects to meet or exceed project success criteria and timing
  • Provide engineering leadership to a team of internal and external engineers to establish equipment designs that deliver against process and product success criteria
  • Develop and apply LEAN capability to support continuous improvement strategies and activities. Seek recognize define and solve problems to achieve business unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause.
  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner developing equipment and processes that meet safety codes policies and guidelines and for the safety and well-being of operators maintenance and other personnel
  • Review and approve drawings data sheets equipment specs Process & Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) schematics and system layouts for engineering accuracy

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Electrical Industrial or Chemical Engineering; Candidates with an Associate Bachelor or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline and possessing applicable experience may also be considered.
  • 5 years of experience in related engineering field(s); 7 years of experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineer design/feasibility and project management with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to network collaborate and influence across staff functions and departments as well as manufacturing sites.
  • Demonstrated experience leading external Technical Service Providers.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate clearly concisely and effectively.

At Kimberly-Clark pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve thrive and grow. Along with base pay this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as location role skills performance and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
