Raytheons Naval Systems department is seeking a Principal System Engineer to join the Zumwalt Baseline Management Integration & Test team. Integration and Test engineers are responsible for interconnecting subsystems identifying and resolving system level issues that may stem from software or hardware anomalies and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level requirements verification.
What You Will Do
- Perform integration for a Naval Platform Combat System with Anti Air Warfare domains including: missiles RF sensors weapon control air defense threat identification & tracking intercept of anti-ship missiles/threat aircraft.
- Support system level integration planning execution and reporting.
- Collaborate with Software and Systems Engineers to integrate multiple interconnected subsystems identifying troubleshooting and resolving system level issues that may stem from software or hardware anomalies.
- Provide direct support to stakeholders to answer questions and solve technical issues.
- Occasional travel will be required approximately 10%.
- This role will be onsite based out of Tewksbury MA or Portsmouth RI.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux operating system.
- Experience with software and/or integration and test with larger System of Systems.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working on teams that use Agile Principles and Methodologies.
- Experience with Naval Shipboard Combat Systems.
- Proficient working with Atlassian tech stack (Jira Confluence).
- Experience working with Jenkins or similar toolset.
- Experience working with GIT.
- Scrum Master experience.
- MATLAB experience.
- Experience working with the US Navy customer.
