Job Description
Ansible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting an Anesthesiologist to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Ave Syracuse NY 13210. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm with call on weekends and holidays. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generouscompensation packages are available.

Responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative intra-operative and post-anesthesia care
- Perform general and regional anesthesia for a wide range of surgeries (cardiac orthopedic urology thoracic ENT etc.)
- Supervise and educate CRNAs residents and medical staff
- Provide anesthesia in various areas: GI/endoscopy IR ICU cardiac cath lab ECT procedures
- Participate in quality improvement morbidity and mortality reviews and departmental meetings
- Comply with all documentation and record-keeping requirements in the VAs EHR
- Be available for emergency procedures during on-call shifts (respond on-site within 60 minutes)
- Maintain communication with other departments for patient management and coordination
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Active full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State Territory Commonwealth or the District of Columbia
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS
- NPI report printout
- Active DEA license
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
