The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
RTX has an immediatehybridopportunity within the Enterprise Services Accounting team in the RTX Enterprise Services organization for aSenior Analyst Accounting & Controllership. This position is an excellent career-building opportunity for a self-motivated flexible and energetic team player. It offers the opportunity to help develop optimum solutions for business challenges and to develop a broad network of contacts within RTXs Corporate Office and across other business units.
The ES Payroll Accounting team within Accounting & Controllership is a small team that oversees payroll across all RTX domestic business units. The selected team member will develop a well-rounded understanding of the RTX payroll accounting structure and system. The experience gained will provide a foundation for continued broadening of financial experience at RTX.
What You Will Do
- Support the monthly payroll process for Rockwell Collins SAP accounting ledger.
- Ensuring compliance with key internal control procedures
- Preparing and posting complex journal entries
- Completing account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner
- Provide reporting and support analysisto Finance leads across Rockwell Collins and BE Aerospace.
- Assist with internal and external auditor requests
- Act as a resource for other Payroll Accounting team members to analyze and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems
- Participate in critical projects collaborating with Payroll Operations Payroll Tax HR Benefits Finance 3rd party vendors Digital Technology Internal Controls and the SBUs.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant financial/accounting experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Experience with SAP and strong MS Excelskills
Qualifications We Prefer
- Self-starter; able to work autonomously with limited oversight as well as in teams.
- Communicate and prioritize effectively.
- High customer focus on resolving issues and delivering solutions.
- Knowledge of payroll accounting and financial statements.
- Strong problem solving skills; ability to troubleshoot system issues & test proposed solutions.
- Prior experience working with additional RTX Finance Tools (ADP Ev5 SAP-PR1).
