We are looking for a skilled and reliable Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in overseeing the operation maintenance and repair of all engineering systems equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will help lead the engineering team ensure facility compliance with safety regulations and contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of building operations.
Assist the Chief Engineer in managing day-to-day engineering operations including HVAC plumbing electrical mechanical and fire safety systems.
Supervise and coordinate the work of engineering technicians contractors and maintenance staff.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
Support the implementation of energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.
Ensure compliance with local building codes safety regulations and company policies.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and ensure quick resolution.
Maintain records of maintenance schedules service reports equipment logs and inventory.
Assist in budget planning cost control and procurement of parts and supplies.
Train team members on safety procedures technical skills and standard operating protocols.
Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Electrical or Civil Engineering (or related field).
35 years of experience in facility or building engineering with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of building systems maintenance procedures and safety standards.
Proficient in MS Office and building management systems (BMS).
Strong leadership problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
Professional certifications (e.g. LEED OSHA PMP HVAC license).
Experience in hospitality healthcare commercial or industrial facilities.
Familiarity with energy management systems and sustainability practices
