EAII Advisors Evidence Actions technical partner in India supports state governments in delivering evidence-based public health programs including safe drinking water initiatives and school and Anganwadi-based National Deworming Day and iron and folic acid supplementation. Operating across 10 states EAII Advisors provides technical assistance to ministries of health education water and women and child development reducing health burdens in impoverished communities and improving the long-term wellbeing of children and families.

The Role

The Manager- Financial Planning & Reporting will be reporting to the Director Finance & Operations and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining systems and processes related to Finance Planning Financial Analysis and Financial Operations across all EAII Advisors clients. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing financial proposals annual financial and activity based budgets at organizational as well as project level preparation of financial reports for funders management and external reporting managing the project contracts scope of work under the master service agreements and Invoicing.

The Manager will oversee project spending support state and national teams in budget preparation and forecasting future financial needs monitor spending coordinate adjustments and prepare reports to track progress against project objectives. The role also includes ensuring financial integrity and financial compliance with organizational requirements funder conditions and restrictions including all reporting and other required processes.

The incumbent will work closely with the India based senior management team across Finance and Program Operations along with global counterparts for effective financial planning and budgeting.

Responsibilities

To lead and manage the financial planning budgeting financial reporting contract review and receivables management functions of a (not-for-profit) consulting organization. This role ensures financial planning transparency funder compliance and efficient resource utilization in alignment with the organizations mission.

Requirements

Essential

  • 710 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting preferably in the development or consulting sector. Minimum 3 years in a managerial role with experience in budget management and funder reporting
  • Chartered Accountant (CA)/Cost Accountant (CMA)/MBA in Finance from a reputed institution will be preferred
  • Familiarity with funds/service fee financial management FEMA regulations and funder compliances
  • Working knowledge of export of services and tax and GST implications
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software such as Tally QuickBooks Intacct or SAP
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools (MS Excel Power QueryPower BI etc.)
  • Strong understanding of budget planning and funds/service fee management systems
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of Electronic Data Management (EDM) system for routing and processing of all contractual documents
  • Knowledge of Indian GAAP Ind-AS and funder reporting standards

Desirable

  • Certification in IFRS Ind-AS or funder compliance
  • Strong ethical standards and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Team leadership and collaboration in a cross-functional environment
