This is a hybrid role requiring 1 to 2 days a week working from client offices in Aberdeen so being within commuting distance is essential. All applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) to Security Check (SC) level as a minimum.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Microsoft 365 Power Platform Engineer youll be working with a diverse client base across a wide array of projects. Youll be involved in everything from shaping and designing solutions to hands-on technical implementation. This role offers both breadth and depth allowing you to contribute strategically while staying close to the technology. No two projects will be the same so if youre someone who enjoys variety and thrives in changing environments this is the perfect fit.

Youll be expected to empathise with client needs understand their objectives and recommend technologies that align with desired outcomes. Building strong relationships will be key whether engaging directly with clients or working closely with internal teams. Your input will be crucial in identifying areas for improvement and suggesting innovative value-driven solutions. Youll play an active role in supporting clients throughout the project lifecycle managing stakeholders at all levels and ensuring deliverables meet expectations.

Additionally your experience and insights will be invaluable to the wider team. Youll contribute to our knowledge base mentor junior colleagues and bring fresh perspectives from previous engagements. This is a great opportunity for someone who is both technically skilled and commercially aware and who wants to help shape impactful technology strategies.

Design develop and implement solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform
Work closely with clients to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals
Develop and troubleshoot Power Apps and Power BI dashboards
Engage in both high-level solution design and hands-on implementation
Identify follow-on opportunities and contribute to proposals
Mentor team members and support knowledge sharing across the team

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

To be successful in this role you should bring a strong foundation in the Microsoft Power Platform coupled with an adaptive mindset and a client-focused approach. Youll have a proven track record of working across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem particularly with Power Apps Power BI and ideally with the Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE). Your ability to grasp client requirements and translate them into practical effective solutions will be essential.

You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively demonstrating initiative and self-motivation. Relationship building will be keyyoull need to connect quickly with clients and colleagues engage at the right level and manage stakeholders with differing priorities and expectations. Your communication skills will enable you to clearly convey complex technical ideas in a way that resonates with a non-technical audience.

Youll have the confidence to bring forward new ideas and learnings and a commitment to helping others grow through mentoring and collaboration. Flexibility and enthusiasm are crucial as this role involves working on varied and often complex engagements.

Demonstrated expertise in Power Platform tools including Power Apps and Power BI
Ability to develop troubleshoot and optimise Power Apps solutions
Skilled at engaging with clients and translating needs into technical solutions
Confident stakeholder management and risk assessment skills
Experience contributing to a Centre of Excellence (CoE) or similar initiative is beneficial
Self-motivated adaptable and supportive of team development through mentoring and knowledge sharing
