POSITION SUMMARY:
- Provides quality clinical nutrition services by working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health team to promote wellness maintain current health and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness. Provides medical nutrition therapy for all patients in accordance with providers orders as well as hospital and Clinical Nutrition Department policies.
- Performs assessments on all patients identified to be at nutrition risk per established policies and procedures.
- Provides nutrition education as identified.
- Provide support to the Food and Clinical Nutrition Department Teams.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Master of Science Degree in Foods and Nutrition or related field. Completion of Dietetic internship. Successful passing of the registration examination for dietitians (RDN).
- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN)
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
