Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient SharePoint & Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design implementation and governance of enterprise collaboration platforms and cloud infrastructure. This hybrid role combines deep expertise in SharePoint Online with broad experience in Azure cloud architecture to support our digital transformation and operational excellence goals.
Key Responsibilities
SharePoint Architecture
Design and implement scalable secure SharePoint Online and hybrid environments.
Develop and maintain SharePoint sites libraries workflows and governance models.
Lead migration efforts from legacy systems to SharePoint Online.
Collaborate with business units to translate requirements into SharePoint solutions.
Define and enforce governance policies for access retention and external sharing.
Azure Cloud Architecture
Design and implement enterprise-grade cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
Define cloud architecture standards patterns and best practices.
Create technical documentation solution blueprints architectural diagrams for stakeholder communication and support to keep BDAT architectural domains current.
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives including IaaS PaaS and SaaS strategies.
Ensure cloud solutions are secure cost-optimized and aligned with compliance requirements.
Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to implement CI/CD pipelines monitoring and automation.
Implement backup disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with IT leadership product owners and engineering teams to align SharePoint and cloud strategies with business goals.
Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to development and infrastructure teams.
Maintain architectural documentation and deliver training to stakeholders.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on SharePoint and Azure best practices.
Compensation
The below annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below he listed range and determined by a number of considerations including but now limited to complexity location and scope of the role along with experience skills education training and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one compensation of Allied World comprehensive total reward package which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.
$100000 - $130000
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
8 years of experience in SharePoint architecture and administration.
5 years of experience in cloud architecture preferably with Microsoft Azure.
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 Power Platform Azure AD and hybrid identity.
Experience with scripting (PowerShell ARM/Bicep Terraform) and automation.
Knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx) REST APIs and Microsoft Graph.
Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert SharePoint Expert) are a plus.
Preferred Attributes
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven ability to lead enterprise-scale transformation projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Experience in regulated or global enterprise environments.
