Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to assist the Operations Manager with overseeing warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage all aspects of warehousing including inventory control shipping and receiving and team supervision. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills a keen eye for detail and the ability to effectively utilize Warehouse Management Systems. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to ensure efficient workflow maintain a safe working environment and drive continuous improvement within the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving warehousing and shipping.
- Oversee inventory management ensuring accurate inventory control and minimizing discrepancies.
- Manage and optimize warehouse operations focusing on efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise a team of warehouse staff providing coaching training and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of shipments ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems to track inventory manage orders and generate reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
- Address and resolve any operational issues demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Plan and coordinate warehouse activities to meet deadlines and optimize resource allocation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations including shipping and receiving.
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
- General knowledge of inventory control principles.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with coaching and developing warehouse staff.
- Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with customer service in a warehouse environment.
