Job Description
POSITION TITLE:
Quality Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the accuracy of sampling testing measuring recording and analyzing production results.
REPORTING TO:
Position reports to the Quality Manager and interfaces with Plant Management Production Shipping Purchasing and Corporate R&D.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises lab personnel and functions relating to the performance and execution of lab tests to produce reliable data ensuring products conform to known company and customer standards.
- Supervises the performance of various tests to produce reliable and precise data to support production requirements.
- Ensures that lab personnel perform routine tasks accurately and follow strict methodologies to carry out analyses.
- Confirms proper preparation of specimens and samples by lab personnel.
- Interprets results obtained by lab personnel and relays to Plant Management.
- Must be available for 24/7 plant support.
- Prepares weekly and or monthly summaries covering the quality system test data and other information regarding product quality for Quality Manager Plant Management and other operations personnel.
- Performs other duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires working knowledge in Microsoft Word Excel Outlook Teams and PowerPoint.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience using an enterprise-wide quality system.
- Previous supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- AS-400 or other enterprise-wide system experience preferred.
- B.S. in related field preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The Quality Supervisor will be located at the Hazleton PA facility.
- Must be able to work in a laboratory environment.
- Moderate dust noise hot and cold climates intermittently.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds intermittently.
- Visual Acuity (including color perception).
- Good Hearing.
