Join us on our journey: To drive a smart and sustainable energy future we are looking for a proactive and experienced Asset & Trading Operations Manager based in Munich. In this role you will be an operational backbone of our energy asset portfolio. Youll oversee the day-to-day performance reliability and compliance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) integrated into our trading platform. Your focus: ensuring smooth operations regulatory alignment and continuous optimization across the asset lifecycle.

Salary Range: 70.000 - 85.000 per year grossdepending on experience
Working Mode: Office-first with partial Home-Office
Language Requirement: At least C1 Level proficiency in English and German
Your Responsibilities
As an Asset & Trading Operations Manager you will be part of our fast-moving Operations team - a group of sharp hands-on professionals who ensure our platform performs in the real world. We currently manage a small but rapidly growing number of BESS assets and plan to scale to dozens across Europe by 2026.
What you will do:
Own the operational lifecycle of BESS assets
Ensure smooth go-lives stable performance and full regulatory complianceMonitor asset performance in real-time
Keep a close eye on real-time asset performance and take swift action when issues arise. This also includes participation in regular on-call rotationsalways supported by an experienced software development counterpartLead structured root-cause analyses
Lead structured investigations of operational issues and coordinate resolution across internal teams and external partnersDrive continuous improvements
Identify recurring issues optimize asset configurations and improve data workflowsBuild and maintain clear actionable documentation
Ensure scalability consistency and audit readiness through actionable playbooks and operations documentationsWork cross-functionally to shape the future of our systems
Collaborate closely with energy operations product and tech teams to align priorities and ensure operational needs are integrated into platform improvements and our product roadmap

Your Profile
Were looking for someone who is deeply proactive and accountable - someone who doesnt just identify problems but owns them and is energized by bringing clarity and progress to complexity.
Mandatory Requirements
A degree or equivalent in Engineering Energy Systems Physics or a related field
3 years in energy operations asset performance management or technical project delivery
Experience with data analytics and performance dashboards for asset monitoring
Solid understanding ofor high willingness to quickly learnenergy asset performance metrics grid regulations and trading frameworks
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Business proficiency (C1) in both German and English
Skills to Set You Apart
Experience managing a growing portfolio of technical assets
Track record of working with external technical partners (e.g. TSOs OEMs service providers)
Operational compliance experience in the energy or infrastructure sector
Hands-on experience with SCADA EMS or asset control APIs
