Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a Material Quote Senior Engineer in Chennai India
What a typical day looks like:
- Analyze customer RFQ and technical documents to extract relevant quote data
- Read and interpret Gerber files Fab drawing BOMS (bill of materials) and assembly drawings
- Analysis of PCB stack up material surface finishing PCB process and manufacturing tolerances
- Calculate should cost of materials fabrication and assembly.
- Optimize panelization and process flows to reduce costs.
- Work closely with global commodity team to align suppliers with project requirements.
- Work with suppliers to ensure accurate quote and competitive pricing to support winning opportunities.
- Communicate lead time pricing and technical queries to internal teams and customer
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics or related field
- Experience in PCB manufacturing assembly processes or electronic component sourcing with minimum 5-7 years working experience.
- Knowledge of PCB stack up material surface finishing etc and PCB process and manufacturing tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret Gerber files Fab drawing BOMS (bill of materials) and assembly drawings
- Understanding of yield panelization and how they impact cost
- Knowledgeable about suppliers technological capabilities and pricing advantages
- Understand of material cost trends including copper gold and laminate etc and other key raw material used in PCB fabrication.
- Strong attend to detail and analytical thinking
- Good communication skills for interacting with sales teams engineers and suppliers.
- Time management and ability to handle multiple RFQ simultaneously
