Estimated annual base pay: $70880 (minimum) - $88600 (midpoint) - $106320 (maximum)

This position is a Functional Project Manager around Advanced Manufacturing. The Functional Project Manager is accountable for the planning directing and execution of local and/or global projects. The Functional Project Manager is responsible for directing the project team to achieve project deliverables including contractual and business objectives while ensuring customer satisfaction and QDRC. The projects are mainly in applying new technologies to our manufacturing processes in the Lincoln campus.
What you will be doing
Tactical Responsibility: Coordinate/lead multiple projects of medium complexity
Strategic Responsibility: Presents and represents project status to customer and Woodward managers
Strategic Responsibility: Accountable for scope change management: responsible to orchestrate with the accountable leaders and team to be responsive to customers project schedule and deliverables
Strategic Responsibility: Support continuous improvement and promote a focus on process stability closed door manufacturing and automation.
Tactical Responsibility: Lead and present project updates for management reviews provide written updates and status reports
Tactical Responsibility: Drives risk management process
Tactical Responsibility: Drives schedule performance to meet commitment dates
Tactical Responsibility: Plans reviews and improves project cost
Tactical Responsibility: Drives total cost of ownership processes
Tactical Responsibility: Project resource management
Tactical Responsibility: Works across business and departments outside of specific functional area to break down barriers that may prevent project success
Strategic Responsibility: Coordinates project activity with appropriate leaders team members and customers
In Operations may perform: Six Sigma/Lean Projects
In Operations may perform: Prepare plans/information to assist in decision making process
Domestic/International travel may be required
What we are looking for
Education:
US Bachelors Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
Experience:
2-5 years experience in specific functional area or Project Coordination
Knowledge and experience with project management tools (specifically MS Project Work Breakdown Structure)
Basic understanding of Woodwards Key business processes and metrics
In Operations: Good knowledge in applicable Manufacturing Environment (e.g. assembly/test mechanical manufacturing or electronics and cabinet manufacturing)
In Operations: Lean experience preferred
In Operations: Good knowledge in manufacturing processes and especially in new technologies such as automation and close door manufacturing
License & Certifications:
Knowledge of Six Sigma basics for Manufacturing
