CyrusOne is seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Architect to lead the design implementation and optimization of enterprise-grade server storage and virtualization platforms across our global data center footprint. This role will play a critical part in shaping the technical roadmap for scalable secure and high-performance infrastructure that supports mission-critical workloads.
Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Design: Develop and maintain reference architectures and blueprints for server storage and virtualization platforms ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
- Technology Leadership: Evaluate emerging technologies and lead the adoption of modern infrastructure solutions.
- Project Delivery: Lead infrastructure design for new data center builds migrations and transformation initiatives including global consolidation efforts and private cloud enablement.
- Performance & Optimization: Define and enforce best practices for system performance capacity planning and high availability across compute and storage layers.
- Security & Compliance: Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to ensure infrastructure meets rigorous security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with engineering operations and application teams to deliver integrated solutions. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical governance.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure roles with a focus on servers storage and virtualization.
- Deep expertise in VMware vSphere Microsoft Hyper-V KVM and other emerging virtualization platforms
- Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS technologies (e.g. Nimble Pure Storage).
- Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g. Ansible Terraform SaltStack) and monitoring platforms (e.g. LogicMonitor OpenManage)
- Proven track record in designing resilient scalable systems in a hybrid or multi-cloud environment.
- Familiarity with data center operations including power cooling and rack design.
- Must be able to travel up to 20%
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or Equivalent Experience
