AS is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Designer to join our team. The Senior Engineer/Designer will work independently on multiple concurrent projects both in design and construction and be responsible for the preparation of contract documents and specifications for complex building systems. This encompasses advanced calculations systems analysis quality control of finished projects and field/construction coordination activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full design of HVAC systems including full equipment selection for medium to large commercial projects
  • Analyze system options and evaluate existing systems where appropriate.
  • Coordinate all aspects of project document completion within AS and externally with clients.
  • Complete full design in accordance with code. Production is performed using AutoCAD & Revit depending on preference of architect.
  • Write specifications.
  • Provide bid and construction phase services including reviewing bids answering RFIs reviewing shop drawings participating in project walk-throughs and providing field observation reports.
  • Must be proficient in a variety of HVAC systems and shall be considered a technical expert and resource to the office.


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical focus).
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • CAD required Revit preferred.
  • PE preferred.
