SUMMARY:
Virsono Hearing Center in collaboration with a partnering Ear Nose and Throat is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator with great people skills and a desire to provide world-class patient service to join our team in. The PCC will work on the ground floor of providing patients access to a revolutionary new hearing device. The PCC is the first point of patient contact and demonstrates professionalism by using a patient centered approach of building trust meeting patient needs and recognizing opportunities to exceed patient expectations. The PCC responds to questions regarding the Earlens system and facilitates smooth patient flow and services. They support the clinical staff by scheduling appointments handling administrative processing and record- keeping. The PCC will support the goals of Virsono Hearing Center by providing exceptional patient service care and follow-up.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned as necessary):
RECEPTION/ADMINISTRATIVE/MEDICAL ASSISTING
Interface with patients including administering questionnaires scheduling and confirming appointments and rooming patients.
Provide service and an experience that goes above and beyond patient expectations.
Collect patient balances.
Maintain patient charts and scan proper documentation into CounselEar EMR
Support clinical staff including the ENT physician and Hearing Care Professional by coordinating providers schedules and ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patient care.
Checking patients in and out.
Preparation of documents to assist patients with insurance reimbursement claims
Collect and record payments while tracking revenue and completing daily accounting activities.
Daily opening and closing of the clinic.
Preparing bank deposits.
Balancing daily and monthly accounts and data reporting
Calling patients to get updates and schedule appointments.
Administrative tasks such as typing filing inventory management shipping products and verifying the status of and checking in hearing aids and repairs.
Support the clinical team members by ordering devices mailing impressions ordering supplies rooming patients and organizing medical charts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assisting the providers during any consultations or fitting appointments when needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Computer literate with some proficiency with Microsoft Word Outlook Excel and Power Point.

Strong interpersonal skills organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Salesforce is a plus
Experience in the medical field is preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Proficiency in Spanish language a plus.
2 years customer service or front office experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Basic understanding of accounting procedures and good math aptitude.
Ability to handle a busy office with interruptions calls and walk-ins while directing the flow of the office with efficiency and professionalism.
Demonstrated experience with following clinical protocols
2 years in the medical field is preferred
