The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) has an opportunity for a Highway Construction Project Scheduling/Programming Analyst. In this role you will play an important role in preparing all state and federal aid-funded transportation construction projects for advertisement.

Pay range is $25.666 - $37.835 per hour. The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.
JOB DUTIES:
Shape Nebraskas Infrastructure as a Highway Construction Project Scheduling/Programming Analyst. Drive the progress of state and federally funded transportation construction projects from initiation to advertisement.
In this role you will:
- Spearhead the scheduling and programming of up to 170 active projects directly influencing their scope cost and timeline.
- Master the federal and state regulations governing the preparation of construction projects for advertisement.
- Collaborate within a regional Super Team of technical project managers contributing your expertise to project oversight.
- Be empowered to proactively identify and resolve project challenges through engagement with executive and technical stakeholders.
- Utilize an electronic Project Management system to customize project schedules and task assignments impacting hundreds of NDOT colleagues.
- Lead and participate in meetings with technical experts to assess and mitigate project schedule risks.
- Communicate project risks and proposed solutions effectively to executive leadership.
- Contribute directly to enhancing the quality of life for fellow Nebraskans and travelers across the state.
- Foster a collaborative environment that champions continuous learning and process improvement.

Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:Post high school coursework/training in engineering engineering technology highway construction or maintenance or project management and experience in using personal computers to access and use various software programs and databases to extract and prepare data and reports.
Preferred Qualifications:Ideally you will bring:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager demonstrating your ability to lead projects to successful completion.
- Experience leading or actively participating in teams of technical experts focused on assessing and mitigating project risks related to scope cost and schedule.
- Proficiency in utilizing Project Management Systems (e.g. Clarity) and document management systems (e.g. OnBase) as well as the Microsoft Suite.
- A track record of developing and tracking performance measures to gauge project success.
- Experience leveraging data analysis to inform decisions and identify key trends.
- Familiarity with Transportation Project Development processes whether through knowledge training or direct experience.
