Project Manager Global Health for NNF India Regional Office New Delhi.

The Position

We are seeking a global health expert for a Project Manager position in the NNF India Regional Office New Delhi. This role will be specifically dedicated to partnerships within prevention and management of cardiometabolic diseases as part of the Novo Nordisk Foundations strategic engagement in India.

The Project Manager is expected to work with the ongoing Partnership for Education of Health Professionals (PEP) projects in India. PEP is a flagship programme of the Foundation that aims to promote equitable access to quality prevention of and care for cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs) in India and East Africa. Specifically PEP strengthens the capacity of educational institutions to provide quality education to health professionals with a focus on CMDs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Co-developing and managing new partnerships in the Northeastern Region of India with a focus on PEP
  • Co-manage monitor and develop ongoing PEP partnerships across India with partners such as AIIMS CMC Vellore and PHFI as well as new partnerships and initiatives focusing on prevention and management of cardiometabolic diseases
  • Coordinating missions and events related to global health and PEP.
  • Contributing to the development of key documents for NNF senior management board of directors and other key stakeholders related to PEP and other global health projects with Indian partners.
  • Supporting dialogue and interactions with global health key stakeholders and PEP partners in India including government and other agencies.
  • Contributing across processes anchored at the NNF Regional Office India Branch office and Global Presence department at the foundations Copenhagen-based headquarters.

About the Role

As Project Manager you will be responsible for driving activities and projects within global health especially focusing on building capacity on education of health professional in close collaboration with key stakeholders in India. Essential Qualifications Skills and Experience

Project management skills incl co-creative project design monitoring and evaluation

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience from public or private sectors including government organisations philanthropic foundations development agencies international organisations research institutions academia or NGOs . Work experience with a focus on human resources for health health education and capacity building or public health is desirable.
  • Postgraduate qualification in public health/global health with clinical qualification in either nursing or medical science or other relevant health fields.
  • High level of IT skills within Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English both oral and written.
  • Strong network across Indian stakeholders working within the domain
