Job Title:Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry
Grade:Specialty Doctor
Location:Havant Hampshire
Working Hours:40 hours per week
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS clients team in Havant Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services for adults. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately on a short-term contract. This vacancy offers competitive rates.
What will your responsibilities be
- Provide psychiatric care and support for adults with a range of mental health conditions
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans
- Hold Section 12 approval and contribute to responsibilities under the Mental Health Act
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists nurses social workers and other healthcare professionals
- Support and supervise junior medical staff and trainees
- Participate in service development clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
- Engage with families carers and external agencies to ensure holistic person-centred care

Qualifications and Experiences:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience including psychiatry
- Section 12 approval essential
- MRCPsych or equivalent qualification (desirable)
- Experience working in adult psychiatry and multidisciplinary team settings
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and clinical governance
