We are undertaking an ambitious and strategic journey to become Europes leading provider of Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA). With active expansion into key markets including Germany and Italy we are building the foundations for long-term pan-European growth.

As we expand further across the continent we are seeking a commercially aware and analytically skilled Investment Associate to join our investment team in Germany. As an Investment Associate at Nido Living youll play a key role in driving our growth through targeted real estate acquisitions primarily within the student housing sector. Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams youll be responsible for deal origination support financial modelling transaction coordination and market analysis. Your insights and diligence will directly influence strategic decisions and future investments across Germany.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)

  • Evaluate Investment Opportunities: Support the identification and assessment of new real estate deals particularly in student accommodation by carrying out financial feasibility studies researching new markets and analysing deal structures across Germany.
  • Model and Forecast Financial Outcomes: Build and maintain robust Excel-based cashflow models complete sensitivity analyses and conduct risk assessments to project investment returns and understand downside scenarios.
  • Support the Transaction Process: Assist in all phases of the investment cyclefrom early-stage analysis to due diligence and execution. Prepare clear and compelling investment memoranda for internal review and coordinate with legal and financial advisors to ensure seamless completion of transactions.
  • Track Market Intelligence: Monitor economic and demographic trends local regulations and sector-specific developments. Share insights with the wider investment team to support our entry and expansion in new and existing markets.
  • Collaborate Across Teams and Regions: Work in close partnership with our development and operations teams throughout Europe. Ensure investment plans are aligned with Nidos strategic goals and project timelines.
  • Build Relationships with Key Stakeholders: Engage with brokers developers and other external partners to build a strong network within the real estate and student accommodation community. Represent Nido Living in meetings and at industry events.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Were looking for a proactive analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-moving and collaborative environment.

Education & Experience

  • A Masters degree in Real Estate Finance Business or a related field is preferred (Bachelors degree holders with strong experience are also welcome).
  • 5- 10 years of professional experience in real estate investment financial analysis or related roles. Experience within student housing or similar operational real estate assets is highly desirable.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Advanced skills in Excel particularly in financial modelling and analysis
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate findings into clear investment strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines independently
