Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to join our Building Operations and Services team in CSL Melbourne to support the operational performance of the facilitys process and building utilities.

You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability compliance and efficiency of critical utility systems including WFI Pure Steam HVAC Boilers and more. Youll work closely with R&D and Global Engineering teams to support operational readiness maintenance and continuous improvement.

This is a 12 month Fixed term / Secondment opportunity based at our CSL Melbourne site.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Technical Services Lead Building Operations & Services you will:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across plant and building utilities
  • Support shutdowns start-ups and maintenance activities
  • Lead resolution of utility-related deviations and non-conformances and maintain accurate asset data and documentation
  • Maintain SAP master data and ensure documentation is up to date
  • Respond to in-hours and out-of-hours alarms
  • Conduct risk and criticality assessments and plan spare parts procurement
  • Act as a key liaison between R&D and Engineering stakeholders

Your Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a Pharma manufacturing space and similar Plant Operations role of maintaining operations shutdown planning preventative maintenance planning and spare parts ordering is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of complex engineering systems e.g. HVAC WFI and PFS
  • Familiarity with FDA TGA OGTR regulations and validation practices
  • Experience with automation systems (e.g. Siemens PCS7) preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
